There is a lot of confusion and speculation when it comes to identifying what the Bible calls “the mark of the beast.” Let’s get rid of both of these by looking closely at the Scriptures. Revelation 13:16,17 says that the beast will cause . . . all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark . . .

This “mark” is therefore not a vaccine. It’s not a needle in the arm. Neither is it a virus. It’s specifically a mark on the right hand or on the forehead. These verses also give us the reason for the mark. It is for the purpose of commerce. Those who don’t have the mark will not be able to buy or sell. Fifty years ago, when I first heard preachers quoting these verses, saying that the time would come when the whole earth would be restricted from buying or selling without a mark on the hand or forehead, it seemed very farfetched.
